Load Test

This is another way we usually check our inverter’s battery health. With the inverter on,

connect a less load like a fan and observe how the battery manages. If the inverter fails under this load, it means that the battery capacity has reduced.

Check Electrolytes Level

My father said that this technique works for flooded batteries. If your battery is of the flooded lead-acid type, you should check the electrolyte level. You can do this by removing the battery’s vent caps and checking if the liquid covers the internal plates.

6) Observe your cells for swelling or leaking

If any of the cells are damaged or leaking, the battery may be faulty. So you have to check out the cells to prevent major problems. If the battery appears to be leaking in any way, there may be damage and the battery must be changed.

7) Pay attention to odd strange sounds

If your inverter makes any odd noises, that may be a clue that there is a problem and the battery must be examined.

8) Track down any discolouration

If your inverter shows any odd brown or black colouration, this could indicate that the battery is experiencing internal problems. You need to replace the battery if you see this effect.
