How to Check Land on a Map?

Hi, I was planning to purchase a property, but before that, I planned to check the land map, but I didn't know how to check. I called a friend and asked him how to check land map online. Here is what he told me.

He told me to follow the steps mentioned below, but before that registering on the Bhoomi RTC website is necessary.

• Choose the district. 

• The next step was to choose the map type, village, Survey Number, period, Hissa Number, year, hobli, and taluk. 

• After the submission of the details, he told me to check the owner's details. According to him, I will be able to check the name of the owner, Khatah Number, and the extent of the land.

• He also said that I can look at the land details from the website. 

• Now, I had to select the PDF file option provided in front to download the map. 

He also said that, in case I am not able to find any particular land map, I should contact the revenue department of the state. And this is what he told me about how to check land map online. I hope this helps.

The Karnataka government has worked to digitise the land records in order to make the land maps, or Bhu Naksha, available online. These records are now accessible on the Revenue Department of the Karnataka Government website.

The Karnataka Bhu Naksha Portal offers the ability to access the land maps online.

The process to find land on maps are as follows;

• Visit the official website of,

• Select "Revenue Maps" from the drop-down menu under the Survey Services (SSLR) heading.

• The system will send you to the revenues maps area after you click the Revenue maps button.

• The word "Revenue Maps Online" will appear in a window on the screen.

• On the screen, you must select the District, Taluk, Hobli, and map Type options. Select the district and village information for which the map is desired. Select "Geo-Referenced Map" from the drop-down list for the map type.

• After selecting all of the necessary information, a list will show up on the screen. A "KMZ" file will be included with the list.

• When you click on the file, your computer will download it.

• The KMZ files can be easily viewed on that programme because they can be opened with the "Google Earth" online application from Google.
