• Scroll down to Occupancy Certificate details option and hit ‘Click Here’
• You will find the zone information such as JDTP- North, JDTP- South, ADTP- East, etc.
• Click on your preferred location, choose year, and hit ‘Click here’
• All the details about buildings with OC status will appear on your screen.

OC or Occupancy Certificate is an important document. A builder must possess an Occupancy Certificate. A builder cannot hand over a flat to the buyer without an Occupancy Certificate. Now, while checking property most buyers forget to check the important documents. How to check occupancy certificate online in Bangalore?

Before telling you about the online OC status, I would like to share the definition of OC stated by the Real Estate Regulatory Act to understand its importance. As per the Real Estate Regulatory Act, OC is "the certificate, or such other certificate by whatever name called, issued by the competent authority permitting occupation of any building, as provided under local laws, which has provision for civic infrastructure such as water, sanitation and electricity".

Check out the step by step guide to know how to check occupancy certificate online in Bangalore on Karnataka RERA website:

1. Visit the Karnataka RERA website.

1. Go to ‘Services’ tab and click on ‘Project Status’.

2. You will be redirected to a new page, where you will need to fill up details of the project. You can simply fill in the firm and project name and hit on ‘Search’.

3. Click on the project name after this and you will be redirected to another page.

4. There will be a panel called ‘Completion Details’.

5. Click on the ‘Completion Details’.

6. You will find an option called Occupancy Certificate and a PDF attached beside it.

7. Click on the PDF to generate the Occupancy Certificate.

If you cannot find PDF after clicking on the ‘Completion Details’ you can assume that the project hasn’t obtained OC. So, in this case you can directly talk to your builder and resolve the issue.
