I informed my dad that there are two ways to EPF balance check without password;

• The UMANG app.

We opted for the second option. I downloaded the UMANG app in his mobile from the Google Play Store, and selected the EPFO, the ‘Employee Centric Services’ and ‘View Passbook’ option. After this I had to enter his UAN, and select 'Get OTP' from the menu. Entered the OTP and clicked on the ‘Login’ button. Finally the EPF account balance was displayed on the screen.

I also informed him that the EPF balance check without password is possible, however, an EPF balance check without UAN number is not possible. To see the details of PF account's balance, UAN number is a must.

7738299899  and you will get to know your balance. Still, the best thing will be to change the password.
