I have a walk-in tiled shower and I can understand that cleaning this can be pretty tricky. I learned to clean my shower after watching a video online. The cleaning process was pretty easy, and only a few items were necessary for it. So, if you are trying to learn how to clean a walk in tiled shower, then you can follow the method that I use. I have added that below.

How to Clean a Walk in Tiled Shower Floor?

The first step is to prepare the cleaning solution, and for that, you need to mix water and vinegar in equal parts in a bottle. Along with that, also create a thick paste of baking soda and water for the stubborn stains. Here’s what you should do next.

  • Rinse the surface with water to get rid of the dirt and debris.

  • Spray the vinegar solution on the area that you want to clean. For stubborn stains, use the baking soda paste.

  • Allow the solutions to sit for some time, and then scrub them. Using a brush or sponge.

  • Use normal water to rinse off the cleaning solution and residue.

And that’s it. This is how you can clean a walk-in tiled shower. I hope this helps.

What is the Easiest Way to Clean Shower Grout Without Scrubbing?

It’s important to understand how to clean a walk in tiled shower. Unlike normal showers, these need certain techniques. Regular cleaning helps to avoid the growth of mould or mildew. The tiles and grout can be maintained by routine washing with the right cleaning agent, which will keep them free of stains and soap scum.

What is the Process of Cleaning Walk in Shower?

Your shower needs deep cleaning often due to the presence of bacteria and fungus, but if you are curious about what’s the best way to clean walk in shower, I’ve shared the steps here for your understanding,

Shower Pre-Treating

  • Pre-treating your shower will make your cleaning process easy. The tiles in your shower are prone to grime and grit build ups, making them look dirty and dull.

  • Let your shower pre-heat with hot water steam for 10 minutes to break down the hard grime.

  • Spray the cleaner on the tiles and let the chemicals soak for several minutes which helps in scrubbing it off easily with a gentle sponge to avoid scratches on tiles. You can choose any of the following cleaners.

Cleaning Products

  • Baking Soda: Mix equal parts of baking soda and water, allow the paste to sit on tiles before scrubbing and rinsing.

  • Chlorine Bleach: Diluting the bleach is important when cleaning tiles. For correct dilution, follow the instructions on the back of the bottle. Make sure you don’t mix the bleach with any household substance.

  • White Vinegar: Use this household cleaner in small quantities on the grimy or dirty areas to remove it. If you have stone tiles, avoid white vinegar since it's acidic in nature and can damage the tiles surface.

Cleaning From Top

It’s better if you start cleaning from the top, that way the dirty residues will drip down the tiles surface but if you start from the bottom, you’ll have to scrub the bottom again when the dirt slides down. Lastly, rinse the surface with hot or warm water.

I hope this was informative.
