Cleaning an office building is tough. My uncle owns an office and once he hired professional cleaners to clean the building completely. He insisted me to present and look after the work. That is when I saw the entire process. It took around 5 hours to clean the entire building and a series of steps were followed. I have shared a brief about it here.

Start by gathering cleaning supplies, trash bags, and other equipments.
Then start removing unnecessary items and organising workspaces.
Empty bins and dispose of waste properly
Wipe surfaces, furniture, and electronics with a microfiber cloth.

Thoroughly clean toilets, sinks, and floors using appropriate cleaners
Replace air filters if needed and ensure proper ventilation.

Keeping an office building clean is essential for the health, productivity, and morale of employees. A clean office also creates a positive impression on clients and visitors. However, maintaining a clean office can be challenging, especially if the building is large. Here are some tips on commercial office building cleaning;
How to clean an office building?
- Start with a plan:
While you ponder about how to start cleaning office buildings, I’d like to highlight that before starting, create a cleaning plan that outlines the tasks that need to be done, the frequency of cleaning, and the areas that require more attention. This will help you stay organised and ensure that every part of the building is cleaned thoroughly.
- Declutter:
Remove any unnecessary items or clutter that may be lying around. This will make it easier to clean and will also create more space in the office. Dispose of waste bins. This will prevent the growth of bugs in your office.
- Dust and vacuum:
Dust all surfaces, including desks, chairs, shelves, and windowsills. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dirt or debris from the carpets and floors.
- Clean bathrooms and kitchens:
These areas require extra attention as they are prone to germs and bacteria. Clean the toilets, sinks, and countertops with a disinfectant cleaner. Make sure to also clean the floors and replenish any supplies, such as toilet paper and soap.
- Clean windows:
Clean the windows inside and out, using a window cleaner and a squeegee or microfiber cloth.
- Mop floors:
Use a mop and bucket to clean the floors. Be sure to use the appropriate cleaner for the type of flooring in the office.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces:
Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and keyboards regularly. This will help prevent the spread of germs and viruses.
- Hire a professional cleaning company:
If the office building is large or if you do not have the resources to clean it yourself, consider hiring a professional cleaning company. They have the expertise and equipment to clean the building thoroughly and efficiently.
By following these commercial office building cleaning tips, you can maintain a clean and healthy office environment that is conducive to productivity and well-being.
