My balcony on the 11th floor is highly exposed to dust and dirt; hence, I have to clean it thoroughly every Sunday. I use dish soap and lukewarm water for this purpose and it is highly effective. Whenever someone asks me for balcony tile cleaning tips, I share the same process so let me share how to clean balcony tiles with you too.

How to Clean Balcony Floor Tiles?

There are three easy ways to clean balcony floor tiles and they are:

Dish Soap and Warm Water:

Add a few drops of dish soap to a bucket of warm water. Use a mop or a brush to scrub the tiles, focussing on heavily soiled areas. Rinse well with clean water to remove any soap residue. This is the method I prefer implementing.

Other methods you can try out are:

Vinegar Solution:

Mix 75% water and 25% white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray the solution generously on the tiles and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Scrub the tiles with a brush to remove dirt and grime completely. Rinse with clean water to ensure no residue is left behind.

Baking Soda Paste:

Create a paste by mixing baking soda with water. Apply the paste to the tiles, especially on stained areas, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Scrub with a brush to lift off dirt and stains. Rinse the tiles or floor thoroughly with water.

These are some useful methods on how to clean tiles on balcony. But if the tiles are very dirty, you might need to use commercial cleaning solutions or hire a professional.
