I clean it using easily available day to day items like soap water and scrubber. You can implement that too. Cleaning a bathroom exhaust fan is essential for maintaining good air quality and preventing mould growth. Here are the steps to clean it:

• Turn off the fan and the circuit breaker for safety.

• Remove the cover, which can be detached by gently squeezing the mounting springs or removing screws.

• Soak it in warm, soapy water, scrub with a brush, and rinse thoroughly.

• Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the fan blades and surrounding area. Then, wipe with a damp cloth.

• Check for obstructions and remove any debris or dust.

• Reattach the cover and switch the fan back on.

This is the process for cleaning bathroom exhaust fan with light. You can use some other solutions for cleaning as well, if you like.

Installing an exhaust fan in my kitchen was one of my smartest decisions. It helps get rid of airborne contaminants, odours, and moisture in the air. I want you to know that a fan covered in dust does not work properly, eventually leading to mildew and mold. This is why I should clean it once in every six months. • Microfiber towel

• Vacuum (with brush attachment)

• Soft-bristle brush

• Screwdriver

• Compressed air can

Please ensure the power is turned off to the fan. To ensure extra safety, turn off the circuit at the breaker box. If your vent cover features a light, then disconnect the wire first. Press the release tab on the connector before you remove the cover.

If your fan cover features a light, just vacuum off the dust, clean it using a damp cloth, then air dry.

Remove the dust using a vacuum with a crevice attachment. After that, switch to a brush attachment for the fan housing and fan motor components. Don’t use a hard touch as this can damage anything. After removing the dry dust, wipe down the fan housing and components using a damp microfiber cloth. This will remove any remaining dirt.

Depending on the model, just 2 or 3 screws hold the fan motor in the housing. For removing the fan motor, start by unplugging the plug or connector that powers the fan. After that, remove the mounting screws that connect the housing and the motor.

Vacuum the motor or/and blow the dust from the fan blades and motor with forced air. Remove caked-on dust using a small, soft bristle brush.

Use a damp microfiber cloth to clean the fan housing, fan blades, and motor.

Finally, just reassemble the exhaust fan.
