Recently, we had a pooja at our house and during that time various things such as oils, ghees, etc., were spilled over our cement floor. After the pooja, I decided to clean it out as my wife does all the daily chores. She informed me how to clean cement floor with an oil-absorbent pad and broom.

How to Clean Cement Floor Stains in House?

Earlier, I planned to sweep the floor but my wife told me that sweeping will only spread the oil around instead of cleaning or removing the stains. She told me about the process and here is what I did.

  • First of all, I took an oil-absorbent pad and revoked all the oil from the floor.

  • Next, I used a broom to remove all the cement dust and debris.

  • After that, I mixed water and regular surface cleaner in a bucket.

  • I used that solution to wet mop the floor.

  • Finally, I used a dry cloth to dry mop my cemented floor.

This is the process that I followed to clean the floor of my house. On that day, the process seemed a bit irritating as it was taking quite some time but it seems easier and less irritating.

I hope this might help you with your query of how to clean cement floor in house.

How To Clean Cement From Granite Floor?

Almost all types of floors require the same type of cleaning so here is a set of steps you can follow to clean your floor:

  • Begin by sweeping or vacuuming the cement floor to eliminate loose dirt and dust.

  • Mix warm water with a mild detergent, creating a soapy mixture.

  • Use a stiff brush or mop to scrub the stained areas with soapy water. For tough stains, consider using a concrete cleaner or a mixture of water and vinegar.

  • After cleaning, ensure all cleaning residue is washed away by thoroughly rinsing the floor with clean water.

  • Allow the floor to air dry completely before using the area.

You can also use Harpic or other solutions but they are hard and might erode or damage the floor; hence, you better avoid using such products. So this is just a suggestion on how to remove cement stains from floor and I hope it will be effective.
