You have to mix the vinegar and salt in the same proportion. Now heat this mixture on the medium gas until the salt is dissolved properly in vinegar. Wear gloves while applying the mixture, it will help you keep your hands safe from the smell of vinegar. 

When you wipe the warmed solution on the bottom of the iron, the plate will be cleaned. Now you can clean the remaining mixture on the iron plate by dipping new cotton in white vinegar. In the end, you can heat the iron and run it over an old, clean fabric. If there is any remaining residue, the iron will help burn it.

You can make a paste of 1 tablespoon of water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. The paste should be thick enough to apply on the iron plate. You can apply this paste using your fingers in the required amount on the iron plate after confirming it is cold. Then let it be there for 3-5 minutes so that the stain can be removed quickly. Then you can clean the paste from the plate with the help of a wet cloth. Now turn on the iron and iron it on the old cloth for a few minutes to clear the plate. Then let the iron get cooled and place it on the marble or wooden counter. 

You can even apply toothpaste to the iron plate and let it dry for some time. Then wipe it off with the help of a dry or wet cloth to remove the stain. Another way is to clean with the newspaper. You can iron it on the newspaper until the stain or some particles are removed.
