I can share with you three effective methods on how to remove oil grease from kitchen window. I use cornstarch and water paste but there are two more methods you can use. Read about them next.
How to Remove Oil Stains from Kitchen Windows?
Here are my suggestions on how to clean kitchen oily windows at home:
Lemon Juice and Salt: Mix lemon juice with a small amount of salt to form a paste. Apply this paste to the greasy areas of your kitchen window. Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. Scrub gently with a soft brush or cloth, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Cornstarch and Water: Make a thick paste by combining cornstarch with water. Apply the paste to the greasy spots on your window. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the grease. Scrub gently with a sponge or soft cloth, then rinse with warm water.
Rubbing Alcohol: Pour rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth and rub it over the greasy areas of the window. The alcohol will break down the grease quickly. After the grease is dissolved, wipe the window with a damp cloth to remove any residue.
These methods easily remove oil and grease from kitchen windows and require minimal effort. I hope you will be happy with the result.

Hi, My kitchen window had become very dirty from the grease build-up of oil splatter while cooking. I was very hard to see the other side through the window. I decided to clean the window but didn’t know how to remove oil grease from kitchen window. I called my mother and asked her how she used to do it.
How to Remove Oil Stains from Kitchen Windows?
My mother told me that she used to make some solutions and used them based on the severity of the stains. She then told me about three solutions and how to use them.
- Solution 1:
She told me to mix white vinegar and lemon in a 1:1 ratio. Then, apply on the oily window surface using a spray bottle and use a paper towel to wipe it.
She instructed me to carry out this process multiple times, until the window is clean. After that, she asked me to use the spray again and polish the entire surface.
- Solution 2
:
She also told me to mix several drops of dish detergent with a degreasing effect in 2 cups of warm water. Then dip a paper towel in this and scrub the grease spots in a circular motion. According to her, when it comes to how to clean greasy kitchen window grill, this is the best method.
- Solution 3
:
She lastly told me about pouring one teaspoon of dish liquid into 2 gallons of cold water. Then, dip a cleaning sponge into that solution and scrub the glass with it until the stains are removed.
And that is how to remove oil grease from kitchen window. I hope this helps.
