Mirrors play an important role in our daily lives. They give your room a different feel. But everything goes to waste if your mirror is full of marks, dirt and debris. So it becomes very important to clean them regularly. I clean it at least once a week so let me tell you how to clean the mirror at home.

How To Clean Mirror Stains At Home

Using Dishwashing Soap

There are many ways to clean your mirror at home. One of them is using dishwashing soap to clean smudges. Since my mirror had many smudges, I took dishwashing liquid and added a few drops of it to a cup of hot water. Then I dipped a microfiber cloth into the solution and erased all the smudges in the mirror. It looked like a new one.

Using a Rubber Squeegee

If you are trying to wipe down a wet mirror using a newspaper, it will not give you a good outcome, and wiping the mirror will be time-consuming. To have a streak-free mirror, you could use a rubber squeegee. This helps to take out any water and solvent left behind. It also takes care of stains and gives a streak-free and glossy finish to your mirror.

Cleaning with Ammonia

You have to mix half a cup of ammonia with 3.8 Litres of warm water. Make the solution and get it into a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the mirror and wipe it using a microfiber cloth with horizontal strokes. Be sure to wear rubber gloves and goggles while dealing with ammonia.

I hope you have understood how to clean mirror glass at home easily.

She said when it comes to how to clean mirrors without vinegar, there are two easy methods.

Method 1: Rubbing Alcohol

  • She asked me to take some rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad.

  • Then, scrub each stain on the mirror with the alcohol-soaked cotton pad.

  • After that, she told me to use a dry cotton pad to remove the remaining alcohol and dirt from the mirror.

  • She also told me to use a toothbrush in case the dirt accumulates in the corners of the mirror.

Method 2: Glass Cleaner

She told me that when it comes to how to clean a large mirror, Glass cleaners are the best.

  • She told me to purchase Glass cleaner from the market and spay it directly on the mirror.

  • Gently scrub in a circular motion with a cloth or sponge.

  • Rinse and dry the mirror.
