Venkat’s suggestion on how to clean quartzite countertops is truly useful but I find using baking soda and lemon juice to be more effective. Yes, lemon juice can stain your countertop so you better use a smaller quantity. I sprinkle baking soda and then spray lemon juice on my quartzite countertop to clean it and it works perfectly. So here is how I do the cleaning.

How to Remove Stain from Quartzite Countertop?

To remove the stain from the quartzite countertop, just grab a few clean clothes, a lemon, a melamine sponge or a soft brush, baking powder and isopropyl alcohol if possible. Once you grab these, follow these steps:

  1. Make a paste using baking soda and a few drops of lemon juice, apply it to the stain, and let it sit for 10 minutes before gently wiping it away.

  2. Use a dry melamine sponge or simply a soft brush to rub the stain lightly and make sure you don’t damage the surface.

  3. Buff the area with a clean, dry cloth to remove stains and you\'re done

You will love the shine and result for sure. Nowadays, several cleaning solutions are available online to clean quartzite countertops so you can also use them.

What is the Process to Clean Quartzite Countertops?

Here is the process you can follow:

  1. Take warm water and add a bit of mild dish soap. Just add enough dish soap to make the water foamy.

  2. Use a clean microfibre cloth and dip it in the solution.

  3. Use circular motions and clean the countertop with the solution-dipped cloth.

  4. Then, use a clean and damp cloth to remove excess soap from the countertop.

  5. Use a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

  6. You can regain the lost shine on your countertops by applying a commercial natural stone polish with a polisher. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions while you use the product.

  7. Take a non-acidic, pH-neutral cleaner or a cleaner made only for stone. Follow the instructions set by the manufacturer and let the cleaner stay for 15 minutes after application.

  8. Finally, wipe the countertop to take off any excess paste.
