Silver utensils are used on a daily basis in the kitchen and on the dining table. As the day passes, it gets yellowish or blackish if not cleaned properly. I clean my silver kitchen utensils every day properly after being used while cooking in the kitchen. It helps me save extra effort to clean it and even saves my time. So cleaning your silver utensils daily can save your time and effort. And somehow, the utensils get dirty due to continuous use. So there are some ways to clean it more helpfully. I will guide you on how to clean silver utensils at home with the below methods.

Methods to clean silver utensils:

1) Dish Soap

You have to take some warm water and add a few drops of dish soap into it. Then rinse the silver utensils with the solution and leave them for about 5-7 minutes. Now take a sponge or cotton piece and clean the utensils to remove the dirt. It will help you remove the stain on the utensils easily and clean it perfectly. But remember, don’t clean it the hard way, it will damage the polish and shining of the utensils.

2) Vinegar or Lemon Juice

These methods are also very helpful to remove the dirt on the silver utensils. You just have to soak the utensils in the vinegar solution or lemon juice for about 1-2 hours. After that, gently clean them with the help of a cotton ball or sponge. Then wash it off with water and you will find them cleaned better than they were before.

3) Toothpaste

I use this method quite often to clean my silver utensils because I found it quite easy. All you have to do is apply the paste on the utensils perfectly and leave it there for about 1 hour. Then clean them with the help of a soft brush or cloth and wash them away. The acidic nature of the toothpaste will clean the utensils easily.

Method on how to clean burnt silver utensils:

4) Baking Soda

Baking soda is really effective in removing stains and cleaning burnt utensils. Make a paste of warm water and baking soda in a bowl, apply it on the utensils and leave it there for 40 to 50 minutes. Then clean it with the help of a soft brush or cloth and wash after that.
