I am inclined towards wooden furniture as I love its appearance. Although the majority of the furniture in my home is wooden, I know how to clean veneer furniture at home. Every day, I wipe down my veneered furniture with a completely dry, lint-free cloth. When wiping down furniture, I always align your cloth in the direction of the wood grain.

How to Clean Veneer Wood Furniture?

Let me share my veneer furniture cleaning routine with you all;

  • The first step that I follow is dusting regularly using a soft t-shirt. Also, I use a feather duster to clean the carvings that are difficult to reach.

  • For stubborn stains, I use a mild mixture of soap and water and then follow it up with a damp cloth.

  • My family occasionally forgets to use coasters, which results in water stains and heat rings. To remove these stains, I usually apply toothpaste that isn't gel-based and gently rub the area with a washcloth. Baking soda mixed with water works well for tougher stains.

  • Finally, I followed by wiping it with a dry cloth.

Tips to Maintain a Veneer Wood Furniture:
  • To stop water from spilling out of the container, avoid placing a potted plant right on top of the veneer wood table.

  • To avoid moisture damage, wipe up spills right away with a moist towel.

  • Instead of dragging things across the table, lift them off and place them accordingly.
