During our chimney servicing, I asked the professional about how to clean Whirlpool chimney and he shared with me a simple DIY method. You just need to make a solution using lukewarm water and dishwashing liquid. Remove the filters, soak them in the solution and finally wipe all the parts and the chimney with a damp cloth. You can check out the entire process here.

What is the Whirlpool Chimney Cleaning Process?

Cleaning a Whirlpool chimney is quite easy. You will need to:

  • Mix two teaspoons of dishwashing liquid with warm water in a large bowl and stir well until it’s bubbly.

  • Next, just remove the filters from your Whirlpool chimney and soak them in the solution for 10–15 minutes. Now use a sponge dipped in the solution to clean the exterior body of the chimney.

  • Rinse the filters thoroughly under running water to remove all soap residue and let them dry completely before reattaching them. Make sure you wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth also.

This is how easily you can clean your whirlpool chimney at home.

How to Auto Clean Whirlpool Chimney?

To auto-clean your Whirlpool chimney, you will need to activate the auto-clean function. The chimney will heat up and release hot water or steam to loosen and remove grease, which collects in the oil collector. Once done, empty the collector and wipe the exterior and it will be done. I will suggest you read the manual once before proceeding with the cleaning process.
