White Marble gives a very elegant and regal feel. It is very appealing because of the colour and pattern. However, white marble is prone to more stains. To clean my white marble, I researched how to clean white marble floor at home. I came across the following ways to clean it easily.
Steps to Clean White Marble Floor at Home
A sealant should be used from time to time - After polishing the marble, a protective sealant is put on it so that it does not chip away and any acidic reactions are prevented. The Sealant gives marble stain-resisting properties.
If the usage is high apply the sealant every 2 years. At houses and commercial establishments, the sealant can be applied every 2-3 years. To maintain the marble’s shine, you can polish it first before applying sealant.
Regular Cleaning- If you have a white marble kitchen slab or white marble flooring. Use a cleaner like Collins to get rid of any stains on the marble. Don't spill any citric acid or juices to keep the marble stain-free. The marble will be clean and there will be less maintenance.
Tackling hard stains- Dettol and Collins are the best cleaners for Marble. Collins is ideal for tackling marble walls and countertops because it gives a polishing effect. For Marble Floors, mopping with clean water and Dettol will do the trick.
Mop the marble gently and do not scrub it as it can chip away.
You can use these tips to clean white marble at home. As it will take a lot of time and effort, I hired a professional from NoBroker. I hope this was helpful to you.
