Hi buddy. I don't often think of cleaning window screens as one of my household tasks. During last Diwali, I discovered a lot of dust had gathered on my window screens. Hence, I researched how to clean window screens without removing them. I came to know via a YouTube video with a vinegar-water combination, that it is easily cleanable. I have shared the detailed steps below for your reference.
How Do You Clean Window Screens Without Removing Them?
How many of us even know if cleaning windows actually requires removing the screens? I was also unaware of that until I found that I could quickly and easily remove dust without removing my screen.
I followed the below process to clean the window screen so that I can open my windows and let in fresh air:
I began by carefully brushing loose dirt and debris off the window screens with the soft bristle brush.
After that, I combined a half gallon of warm water with one-fourth cup vinegar.
I sprayed the solution after that on the screen.
I then carefully scrubbed the screen on both sides with a microfiber cloth. I mainly focused on areas with stubborn dirt or stains.
I used the soft bristle attachment on my vacuum to remove the dust from the window screens. Another option you can use is the bucket's clean water to rinse the screen.
Finally, I allow the screens to air dry completely.
You may maintain the cleanest window screens without having to deal with the trouble of removing them by following the above procedures. I hope you found this hack helpful.
