My neighbour has recently hired NoBroker renovators to get her entire flat renovated. When I asked renovator expert how to cover interior stucco walls, he advised me the simplest way to do that. It includes surface preparation, blending Stucco, applying the first and second coats of it, final touches, sealing, and painting the surface. I have shared the detailed steps to cover interior stucco walls that renovator suggested me below for your reference.
How to Cover Stucco Interior Walls?
Stucco is frequently encountered on interior surfaces and it is a popular choice for external walls due to its durability and textured finish. I have mentioned the easiest stucco wall covering steps that I followed to get a stunning interior:
I made sure the surface was dust, debris-free, and cleaned.
Next, I fixed the holes or problems in the wall.
In order to get the stucco to stick to the surface, I used a bonding agent.
I next mixed the stucco mixture according to the manufacturer's directions.
I covered the wall with the first coat of stucco using a trowel. This needs to be between 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick.
Using a scarifier, I made horizontal lines or grooves to guarantee good adhesion for the subsequent layer.
I followed the manufacturer's recommendations and let this coat set for a day.
I gave the scratch coat enough time to dry.
I applied the second layer of 1/8 inch thickness. For this, I used various trowel techniques, including swirls and skip trowels.
I gave the stucco some decorative textures once the brown coat had dried.
Finally, I used a stucco sealer to shield it from humidity and stains once it had completely dried and hardened.
After few days, I hired NoBroker Painters
