I accomplished it as follows:

• Decide on a Dedicated Space: 

To optimise natural light and reduce distractions, I went with a window seat in a corner.

• Compact Furniture: 

Selected a wall-mounted desk that folded down conveniently for storage when not in use. This preserved valuable floor area.

• Storage Solutions: 

I also used a wall-mounted pegboard for extra storage and floating shelves above the desk to keep everything organised.

• Lighting: 

To maximise natural light, placed my desk next to the window and added a work lamp for sufficient lighting.

• Colour Scheme:

To create a relaxing work environment, I painted the walls a soothing colour and added unique accents like small indoor plants and artwork.

• Cable Management:

   

Used cable clips and organisers to keep the wires neat and out of the way to avoid a mess.

• Noise management: 

I bought noise-canceling headphones to reduce outside noise and improve my ability to concentrate.

• Multipurpose Furniture:

Emphasised multipurpose furniture and used a file cabinet to store documents.

• Flexibility: 

I used mobile furniture and easily movable items to create a flexible workspace and make the most of my little area.

By following these tips on how to create home office space, I was able to make my small apartment home office functional, comfortable, and visually appealing, allowing me to work productively while maximizing the available space.

• Choose the right place

You would not want to have office space near the living room where people will walk around. You will get distracted by people doing their work or meeting new relatives in your living room. It's better to use a separate room to get rid of all the distractions. Me and my sister used to work in the same room and at times we would fight for very trivial reasons. Of course, it hampered my work! To avoid this, I now use the attic to work.

• Manage the cables

You should stay in a place where you can get a good internet connection. Place your Wifi not very far from your laptop. We can use a mobile internet connection but Jio users can only understand how difficult it is to connect on a video conference. To avoid these kinds of situations, we should always get a good internet connection.

• Colours Schemes

Colours can actually make a positive impact on your work. Choose a wall with bright colours because staying in the dark, working on a laptop for 9 hours can hurt your eye and in turn cause headaches. Plus a bright colour can brighten and can help you feel calm and comfortable.

Also, I would suggest you buy a chair which can support your back well and a table to put your laptop on. Working in bed can make you lazy at times.
