Lay painter’s tape on the countertop.
Mark the sink outline on the tape and make the cut through the tape.
Use a proper cutting blade to do the job.
Take a blade with a minimum of 12 TPI with the teeth extending horizontally away from the shank.
Attach the countertop firmly to the cabinet or sawhorse so that it doesn't shake while working.
