We moved to our new apartment last year, which was exactly 700 square feet. While it was a small apartment, I decided to give it a minimalist decor and our interior designer also helped us generate a few ideas on how to decorate a 700 sq ft apartment. We added some open shelves and storage boxes to make the space a little aesthetic and functional. Here are some more ideas you can employ to make your space cosy and aesthetic.
Wallpapers
You can use peel and stick wallpapers to add value to your walls, and direct all the attention to them. We used funky patterned wallpaper to go with our wooden floors, which not only looked attractive, but also made the room look spacious.
Rugs on the Floors
If you have dull or plain floors, you can use pretty rugs or peel and stick tiles. This idea was suggested by our interior designer, and we bought a jute rug to decorate our living room’s floors.
Open Shelves
We have kept a small open bookshelf, where we have also kept some decorative pieces. But, make sure that you don’t make it too cluttered by keeping a lot of items. This technique is to make the space look cosy and spacious, rather than clamped with things.
