Hi, I was planning to get my kitchen redesigned, but I couldn’t figure out the process of doing it. I asked my cousin how to decorate a tiny kitchen as he is an interior designer. He provided me with a few ideas about the decoration process, and here are those.

How to Decorate a Very Small Kitchen?

  • Lighten Up the Kitchen

He told me that dark colours make kitchens seem smaller, but that can be solved using some lighting. He suggested me to use LED strips under the shelves or cabinets to save energy.

  • Adding Backsplashes

Backsplashes don’t need much space, but they can easily change the impression of the room. To bring some fresh energy to the kitchen, he asked me to choose a contemporary pattern with a neutral backsplash design.

  • Add Shelves for Extra Storage

He suggested adding extra shelves above the kitchen shelves to add some extra space and store dishes made of porcelain or china dish sets, etc. He also told me to add a glass door to these storages to showcase the items.

  • Add Colour

My cousin told me that if I am thinking about how can I decorate my small kitchen, then adding colours and patterns would be great. He told me that highlighting the space with bold colours and patterns could be a great approach. Adding a printed shade over the windows or a patterned rug to the floor can brighten up any small space he added.

And that’s all about how to decorate a tiny kitchen. I hope this has been helpful.

How To Decorate Kitchen Shelves?

Hi, Pal

Do you have a small kitchen and want to get a few ideas on small kitchen decor. Let me assist you with this. Most of us don't live in enormous houses with kitchen islands that accommodate a seating capacity of eight people and enough cabinet space to store an entire restaurant's dishware collection.

But just because we don't have the space for our dream kitchen doesn't mean we shouldn't make the most of what we do have. A compact kitchen has a lot of advantages: It forces us to be more economical in our kitchenware purchases.

I've given a few tips and tricks on how to decorate a small kitchen and make it more versatile to help you make the most of your space.

Make your kitchen modular with the expertise of NoBroker home interior service. How to decorate a small apartment kitchen:
  • Accept the One-Wall Design

It seems almost unthinkable in this day and age of open kitchens with expansive breakfast islands to have a whole kitchen constrained to one wall, but when correctly thought out and organised, it can save a ton of space in an open-space arrangement. Then you have enough room for a larger dining table in the remaining space

  • Make Provisions for Seating

Do you want an eat-in kitchen but don't have enough space? By using a banquette, you can save a few inches. The slide-in banquette takes no room at all, whereas a standard table requires at least a couple of feet behind each chair.

  • Make Your Own Breakfast Nook

You would believe that a table or breakfast nook on a wall means less storage space, but this isn't always the case. Use high shelves or cupboards to frame your breakfast nook and store goods like fine china or dinnerware.

You won't have to give up valuable storage space for a dining table now

  • Bring your storage space all the way to the ceiling

In a small kitchen, storage might be a chore, but there's one area that's often overlooked: the tops of the kitchen cabinets. Use that vertical space to your advantage, whether you're adding extra cupboards to reach all the way to the ceiling or simply displaying larger goods on the upper shelves.

  • Modularize Your Space

It might be difficult to maximise the utilitarian qualities of a kitchen when space is limited. The idea is to keep a mobile island that you may move around according to your needs.

In small apartments, galley kitchens are commonly seen. I would like to suggest to you a few additional tips on how to decorate a small galley kitchen; you can install cafe-style seating and open shelving, as well as an inside window. Also, make use of a Soft Palette.

I hope this answer would help you with a few ideas on small kitchen decor.
