How to Decorate Ceiling Beams?

I had been looking for a beautiful apartment and after quite a hunt I found the perfect one. However, I wasn’t sure if the ceiling beams would ruin the entire look of the apartment. Although ceiling beams are an intriguing architectural detail that can make a room feel completely distinct, you may ask if your personal design style would work in a room with ceiling beams. But trust me, it would. I can tell you all about how to decorate ceiling beams because I did it for my apartment. And if I can, you can do it too.

• Light and Contemporary:

  Paint exposed ceiling beams the same colour as the ceiling for a contemporary look. With a more faint appearance, the ceiling will nevertheless have a textured, three-dimensional impression. Use a darker hue or a lighter tint of the same colour, such as white and cream, to add contrast. 

• Dark and Dramatic:

  The contrast between white walls and ceiling beams stained or painted in deep, rich tones of brown, reddish brown, or black is striking. Add wood furniture, wood flooring, wall trim, or cabinetry with the same deep wood tones to give a space with dark stained ceiling beams a sense of oneness.

• Beadboard and Beams:

  Install beadboard boards in between exposed beams to provide even more texture and pattern to a ceiling with exposed beams. 

• Industrial Chic Beams:
