My sister recently welcomed twins into this world and we couldn’t be more happier. It was a teary-eyed happy occasion for all of us. As the only aunt of the babies, I had to do something really special. I started looking for baby welcome home decoration ideas and tips. I will share how I decorated our home here.
Baby welcome decoration at homeFirstly, I was sure to keep it simple and classy so I chose to go with sombre colours. Since the beautiful babies were a girl and a boy, I thought I would do pink and blue decorations.
I sought my father’s help in blowing balloons to make a balloon arch with the balloons of both the colours.
Next, mom had designed a baby care and mom care basket, we placed it on the coffee table
We hung foil balloons on the wall which said, ‘Welcome new momma and babies’
My grandmother went the traditional way and made pinni for my sister. I put them in a mason jar and threw battery operated string lights around to make it go with the overall aesthetic
We created a photo booth as well for new parents and the babies. Mind you, don’t expose babies to too many flashlights, it will be harmful for them
Lastly, we all had signed a card for new parents and the kids. We even laminated it to keep it as a memory.
FYI, I threw in a little more pink because after me she is the first baby girl in our family hence,
newborn baby girl welcome home decoration was a little bit more :p
Anyway, these were a few ideas for baby welcome home decoration. I hope you liked them.
