How to decorate house with balloons?

My daughter turned 16 this year in August so I decided to call a few of her friends over along with the dearest family members. I had hired a home cook to look after the food part but I wanted to do the decorations myself. I know for a fact that she is obsessed with balloons and fairy lights. On multiple occasions she has shown me those fancy pictures of rooms fully stacked with balloons and cute notes from Pinterest. I thought about how to decorate room with balloons to make her go aww, thankfully I came across a few ideas which turned out to be great. I can share them with you.

I ordered foil balloons off of Amazon and a 2 packs of golden and silver matte balloons. I also ordered ribbons and frills and fairy lights or string lights, whatever you call them. This is what happened next:

• I spent an hour inflating the balloons, approximately 40 of them

• I tied ribbons to the end of 20 balloons and let them go up to touch the ceiling of her room. It was a mix of golden and silver balloons

• Next, I inflated foil balloons that said ‘Happy Birthday’ and used double tape to fix it on the wall.

• I then spent another half an hour arranging the string lights around her room.

• The rest of the balloons left ideally on the floor for her to have a red carpet moment

• Girls also love flowers, so to compliment those balloons, I got fresh rose petals and spread them around her birthday cake which we placed on the coffee table in her room.

As soon as she entered her room, she was surprised to see the decorations. I mean yes, she didn’t expect it from her parents. 

Another surprise awaited her when she went to the living area where we had all our guests. I sought help from my husband to decorate that room. Even though he wasn't sure how to decorate with balloons at home, I showed him some references and he made an arch arrangement with the balloons. It was perfect.
