How to design terrace garden?

Designing a terrace garden can be a wholesome and therapeutic experience if you’ve fun ideas to incorporate. Last year, we created a terrace garden for our new apartment and I took some inspiration from the Pinterest board to design it. Let me help you with some ideas I got from there. One thing that can never go wrong is adding wall planters or just plant stands. I have shared some more tips on how to design terrace garden. 

How to Create a Terraced Garden?

Like Sunaina has also mentioned in the previous answer, plants are the best way to elevate any space, be it garden or interior space. Here are some ideas you can use:

Wall Planters

If you have less space and still want to make the most of it, try using wall planters. I got this idea from a friend who has decorated her entire terrace with wall planters and stands.

Comfy Chairs and Tables

This is a simple way to decorate your garden. Just set up the space with small chairs and a table with some pot sized plants around it. 

Patchwork Garden

If you have a limited budget, this is the best way to design your space. You can create different zones on your terrace, such as a grassy area for lounging or raised beds or pots for your real plants.

Owning a terrace in a house is the most amazing thing you can have. During the pandemic, you can catch up with nature without wearing a mask and roam independently. Besides keeping your terrace void like a desert you can add some climbers to spice things up. I have myself planted a Madhabilata tree in my roof and the climber looks amazing with its pink flower petals. In the evening my house is filled with the sweet aroma of the Madhabilata flowers and it looks fantastic from outside. Plus I have privacy in my terrace due to the climbers. ;)

Add a fountain

You can also add a fountain on your terrace to spice things up. If you plan to grow vegetables this will be beneficial. You can easily create a DIY fountain and keep some pebbles near it to make things more attractive. This idea is unique and one of the best small roof garden design ideas.

Add some furniture

Last but not least, add some furniture so that you can also sit and enjoy your time on the terrace. I spent a lot of time on the terrace so I also purchased an electric grill machine to make spicy delicious Kebab. My kids and I spent most of the time on the rooftop playing during the weekends.
