Hey friend, I was raised in Delhi by a religious mother who loves to do puja at home. Over the years I have witnessed her preparing samagri for the puja and conducting the puja for her and her friends. I will now answer your doubt about how to do Sheetla Mata Puja at home.

• Shitla Satam Puja is observed 7th day of Shitla Saptami.

• The first step for puja is preparing the bhog for the goddess.

• Bhog will include sweet olia, khaja, churma, shakarpare,etc.

• Prepare the bhog one day in advance. 

• On the day of the puja, take a bath before the commencement of puja.

• Arrange the plate with the bhog and the plate with shringara items in front of the temple. 

• Keep water in a jar along with the plates.

• Apply tilak on the forehead and offer an unlit diya to Shitala Mata.

• Pray to Sheetla mata by singing the Sheetla Mata Aarti.

• Light the diya and conduct the puja.

• At the end of the puja sprinkle water from the jar on yourself and your family members.

• After the puja, post taking the blessings of Shitala Mata, you can eat the bhog.
