The Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) in Maharashtra aims to improve living conditions for slum dwellers. Here’s how you can transfer an SRA flat:

  1. Lock-in Period: Initially, the beneficiary of an SRA flat cannot buy or sell it for ten years from receiving the possession letter.

  2. Procedure:

    • Obtain a

      No-Objection Certificate (NOC)

      from the SRA.

    • Execute and register the

      sale deed

by paying stamp duty and registration fees.

    • Submit the stamped sale deed, application form, and SRA NOC to the authority.

    • The SRA issues NOCs for the buyer, seller, and housing society.

    • Submit the documents to the housing society and pay the transfer fee.

    • The share certificate is then stamped, making the buyer a member of the society and the SRA flat owner.
