  • If you are already a member, log on to the West Bengal e-district website's home page. If not, select "New Registration."

  • There will be an e-form. Name, address, phone number, security question, mobile number, login ID, and OTP verification should all be entered.

  • Return to the homepage after your login information has been generated and log in with your ID and password.

  • Click the Registration and Stamps Revenue option on the home page's "Department" menu.

  • The option for "Certified copy of registered deed" will appear in another drop-down box. Just click it.

  • A page with the information and specifications for the certified copy will now appear. Use it to figure out your payment.

  • To apply, click the button below. You will be taken to a new page with the choices "Download applied deed document" and "Certified Copy of Registered Deed."

About a year ago, the sale deed of my property in Bangalore got misplaced. Hence, It was during that time to retrieve a certify copy of deed, I applied for the same in an offline mode.   • You should report the loss, theft, or misplacement of your sale deed by filing an FIR at the closest police station.

  • Before visiting the Sub-office, Registrar's you can use the internet to verify the progress of your FIR (SRO). Each office's address is listed in the state link.

  • Put your contact information and a description of your deed in a lost and found ad in your preferred newspaper. If your deed was just lost, wait for 2 to 4 weeks for someone to return it.

  • After the waiting period, go to the Sub-office Registrar's where your property is registered, and submit an application to receive the certified copy of your sale deed.

  • Create an affidavit on paper using a stamp next.

  • You must sign an undertaking and detail everything that occurred. Attach the Affidavit to the FIR, newspaper adverts, and any press coverage (if any).

  • It should be noted that newspaper advertising is legally required. And before posting, obtain a copy of your FIR because some news organisations want one when you apply to be published.
