LUT or letter of Undertaking is furnished under Rule 96A of GST Act. The LUT allows exporters to declare the requirements suggested by GST without making IGST payment at the time of export. I see that you seem to be confused about how to download LUT certificate in GST portal. My husband helped me understand this process when I joined him in his business a few months back. Let me tell you about it.

How to download LUT from GST portal?

It is a lengthy process so don’t miss any step that I am mentioning here:

  • Go to GST portal

  • Login with your credentials

  • Go to services tab and navigate to ‘Furnish Letter of Undertaking’ under User services tab

  • You will see that Form GST-RFD-11 will be displayed. Choose the financial year from dropdown list

  • Upload previous LUT and check all the declaration boxes and fill the required details

  • I would suggest save the form to retrieve it later as well

  • Now submit the LUT form after signing with DSC/EVC

  • Download the acknowledgement form for LUT.

Note: ARN will be sent on your email id and phone number.

  • A list of your previously submitted LUT applications will appear. Select the relevant financial year for which you wish to download the LUT certificate.

  • Once you select the correct year, you will be able to see the details of the LUT certificate.

  • Click on the “Download” button to save the certificate in PDF format to your device. Check all your details are correct on the certificate, such as the GSTIN, year, and business details.
