I know it can be a pain to look into your beautifully designed wall with a hole in it. I suddenly discovered a big sized hole in my beautifully designed living room wall. I wanted to fill it out asap as I was expecting guests and I wanted my house to be in perfect condition. I can share the steps that I followed regarding how to fill the hole on the wall. I would also like to highlight that I filled out the hole using Asian paint Smart Care Crackseal
How to Fill in Holes in a Wall?
Make sure to clean the hole thoroughly and remove any loose items. A fine brush or the edge of a scraper can be used for this.
To force the filler into the crack, use a filling tool with a flat edge. To make sure it's fully filled, it should be a little overfilled.
Use a moist knife to smooth it.
To find out how long it takes to dry, see the directions; it should normally take one or two hours.
Sand it down to make it smooth with the wall when it has dried.
You will need to apply the filler in stages if the hole you're filling is really deep (deeper than 50mm). Make sure that you always wait to apply a second layer until the first has dried.
Use a mist coat to aid in the restoration.
This is how to fill in a wall hole. As I already mentioned, I filled out the hole using Asian paint SmartCare Crackseal. I would also like to point out that there are other products as well like Asian Paint SmartCare textured crack filler, SmartCare repair polymer, Akrylmax , SmartCare hybrid PU sealant, SmartCare crack shield, and so on. I hope this helps!

Wondering, how to fill the wall holes? I would like to highlight that filling a hole in the wall is a straightforward DIY task.
How do You Fill a Hole in the Wall?
- Prepare the Hole:
Remove any loose materials or old fillings from the hole to prepare it.
- Apply Spackling:
Press the spackling compound into the hole with a putty knife so that it is slightly overfilled. You might need to layer the spackle for larger holes, letting each layer dry before applying another.
- Smooth It Out:
Using the putty knife, flatten the surface and remove any extra spackle. Attempt to align it as closely as you can with the wall.
- Let It Dry:
Depending on the depth of the hole, let the spackle dry entirely, usually for a few hours overnight.
- Sand:
The dry spackle should be gently sanded until it is smooth and flush with the wall.
- Prime and Paint:
Apply a primer and paint to match the rest of the wall, blending the patched area with the surroundings.
- Final Touches:
For a perfect finish, feather the paint into the surrounding wall.
You can follow these steps on how to fill in holes in a wall.

My home is 25 years old. I had many 2 mm holes in the wall of my room and I thought I needed to fix it. Insects were laying eggs inside the wall and due to rain, the walls were getting wet. So I reached out to the mechanic and asked him " how to fill holes in wall?". He charged Rs.15,000 to mend my wall. I was shocked to hear the price. I talked to my friend and she gave me some good suggestions on how to cover holes in wall.
I have fixed my wall on my own without hiring a mechanic but before filling the holes I needed to buy some products. My daughter booked these products from Amazon.
You will need:
Sanding Block
Knife for filling
Putty knife
Water
Screwdriver
Primer
How to fill large holes in wall?
Make a paste with water and the filler such as a spackling paste. You can buy it online or even make it home. Spackle paste is nothing but equal parts of cornstarch, salt, and water.
The mixture should be smooth and semi-solid therefore I would recommend you use a small quantity of water. Put the filling knife in the paste and horizontally apply it to the holes. Press the paste hard so it doesn't fall apart.
Let the paste get dry on the wall. Flatten out the holes using a putty knife. Try to run the putty knife for once. Multiple runs might affect your work.
Repeat this process two or three times to fill up the holes properly.
After 70 mins of drying try sanding the wall to get a smooth finish.
Use the primer after this then start drying.
Use paint to colour your new wall.
I hope my answer on how to fill holes in wall was helpful.
