How to Check Ward and Block Number?

Here is how you can check the ward number and block number of your address.

  1. Visit the

    homepage of the Local Government Website

    . 

  2. Scroll down and find the section ‘Local Government Directory (LGD) Codes’. 

  3. Find the subheadings ‘LGD Codes of Blocks’ and ‘LGD Codes of Wards’.

  4. Click on each section one after the other to find your block and ward number.

  5. When you search for the block number, click the ‘Search by Hierarchy’. Then, select your state, district and CAPTCHA code. Then, click the ‘Get LGD Codes of Blocks’ button.

  6. When you search for wards, select your state, hierarchy level, local body type and any other information. Then, click on the ‘Get LGD Codes of Wards’ button.

  7. You will be able to view the desired information.
