When I was applying for a new gas connection, I came across the SV number in LPG.

As I have shifted to Bangalore recently, I had to opt for a gas connection which made me go through the process of knowing the SV numbers.

I have gone through R. Soumya’s answer and I completely agree with her answer.

She has provided a certain degree of clarity with regard to

what is SV number in gas booking.

However, she also mentioned the SAHAJ initiative e-SV number, I have applied for the same and I would like to share the process,

• Go to indane.co.in 

• Select Online Services from the Customer Console on the left side

• From the Online Services menu, select a new connection

• Select Register For A New Online Connection

• Fill in the state, district, and distribution names

• Fill in your basic information, such as your name, date of birth, phone number, and email address

• You will receive a confirmation email

• Continue to fill out the application after receiving the email with the registration link

• For PAHAL, you must attach a scanned copy of your POI and POA, as well as your Aadhaar card (DBTL)

• You will receive a registration number for a fresh connection request once you have completed the online application

• Your application will be placed on a waiting list until the distributor releases it

When your application is approved, you will receive a text and email message. An e-SV number is issued and emailed to the new consumer via his or her registered email address as part of the Sahaj project. Hence, this process will also help you with the Indane gas SV number check.

The SAHAJ (e-SV) allows you to apply for a new connection and pay for it online. The necessary equipment and e-SV are delivered to your home, saving you time and money and eliminating the need to contact an LPG distributor.

• You will get a notification after the approval.

If you have an old connection, you can ask your service provider to tell you your SV number.
