Did you try removing those white marks from your table, they don’t seem to come off easily. These marks are caused by heat, and I was in the same boat as you until I learned how to fix a heat mark on a wood table. One of the easiest ways to remove them is by applying more heat. Take a hair dryer, set it to the lowest heat setting, and apply heat to the area.

How to Fix a Heat Spot on a Wood Table?

Applying heat to the area, ensure that the dryer is a bit far away from the table. Here are a few more methods that you can use to remove the heat marks.

Method 1: Toothpaste

Toothpaste is another method that can easily eliminate heat stains from wood tables. For this, you need to use plain white toothpaste or else it won’t work.

  • Make a paste by combining two parts baking soda and one part toothpaste.

  • Now, apply the paste to the area and let it sit for a few minutes.

  • Wipe it off with a damp cloth after that.

  • Repeat if necessary.

Method 2: Mayonnaise or Petroleum Jelly

This method may sound weird, but Mayonnaise is another great option.

  • Take a clean rag and apply Mayonnaise on the stained area.

  • Leave it for several hours or overnight.

  • Use a clean cloth to wipe off the mayo.

If you don’t want to use Mayonnaise, you can also use Petroleum Jelly for the process; the steps are the same. These are the methods that I use. Hope this helps.
