The process and materials required to fix leaning fence depend on the fence’s material. Let me share the list of tools needed to learn how to fix a leaning fence. Most of these tools will be useful for any DIY around your house. Trowel, drill, level, 2x4-inch board, sharpshooter shovel, rounded shovel, hoe, sledgehammer, hose, dust mask, gloves, safety glasses, drainage gravel, no-mix concrete mix, screws, fencing posts for stakes and support member.

  How to fix a leaning wooden fence post?
  • With a sharpshooter shovel, dig holes around the leaning fence posts

  • You will then need to insert wooden stakes a few feet out from the fence

  • With screws, attach support boards running to the fence. 

  • Around each lagging post, tamp the soil thoroughly. This will keep your post straight in its place. 

  • You can even fill the hole with 1/3 full of gravel and special no-mix concrete. 

  • After pouring the gravel- concrete mixture, mist the concrete with a hose and use a trowel to press concrete

  • If you wish to hide the concrete, simply cover the bottom of each hole with soil.
