How to Repair Loose Door Knob?
If you have a loose door knob, you should get it fixed immediately. In addition to affecting the door's aesthetic, a loose door knob may compromise security. The advice that my carpenter gave me is as follows:
He advised me to begin by determining the root of the issue. A misaligned latch, worn-out parts, or loose screws are frequently the causes of a loose door knob.
Take off the door handle now, and look over the screws.
Next, use a screwdriver to tighten any loose screws.
Verify that the latch mechanism is correctly positioned.
He advised using a screwdriver to realign the latch if it is not in the proper position.
Finally, he said to reinstall the door knob and make sure it is secure once the screws and latch have been tightened.

1) Eliminate the Handle
If you can't notice the problem right away, the best strategy is to remove the handle entirely. You can quickly identify the screw and remove them using an Allen key or a screwdriver. After you've removed all of the screws, you should be able to remove the handle or doorknob.
2) Eliminate the base
You just remove the base of the door once the handle or door knob faceplate loosened. You have to take a flat screwdriver and slowly pull the ring off to remove the base. If you want to avoid damaging the supporting plate, be cautious when removing the base. If the supporting plate is damaged, the handle may not be able to be reinstalled correctly.
3) Locate and secure the screws
You must be able to see a pair of screws after removing the base, which will most probably have to be adjusted. These screws go all the way through the door and into the supporting plate, which keeps the handle in place. Fasten every screw while gently maintaining the supporting plate.
4) Reinstall the handle and adjust the base
You can attach the base back onto the backing plate after you've adjusted the screws. Once the base is in position, match up the holes in the handle or doorknob with the screw holes. The next procedure is to replace any visible screws. You should now have a working door handle or doorknob!
