In order to get a duplicate copy of land registration, you must know that you should perform a series of steps beginning with filing an FIR with the police, and placing an advertisement in the newspaper, it is an important step to obtain a duplicate copy. After filing the FIR,

  • visit the Sub-Registrar office (SRO) or visit the land record website of your district or state.

  • Download or obtain Form 22 application and fill the form with all the relevant details.

  • Next, submit the form with the sub-registrar along with an application which states a request for a copy of land registration and the reason you are asking for it. You will be required to attach a copy of FIR and copy of ad as well.

  • Submit the notarized undertaking as well.

  • Pay the fee as applicable.

  • The duplicate copy of land registration will be issued to you post that.
