My father lost the copy of the policy of Life Insurance Corporation of India when we shifted to our new house and had to ask a number of people about the process to get a duplicate copy. But do not worry, just follow what I say and you will get it easily. 

  • Since it is a legal bond, submit an indemnity bond and apply for a duplicate copy

  • To create this bond, you need to request a form 3756 from LIC

  • Print the form on a non-judicial stamp paper

  • Confirm LIC about the value of the stamp paper and do remember that it is not the same in every state.
