Dish Soap and Water – For tougher stains, a mix of dish soap and warm water worked well. The cleaner scrubbed gently with a microfiber cloth, and it easily got rid of both fingerprints and any grease marks.
Microfiber Cloth and Water – Sometimes, all you need is a damp microfiber cloth to clean the fingerprints off. My mom emphasised the importance of using only microfiber, as it traps dirt and oils rather than smearing them around.
Olive Oil – Surprisingly, olive oil was also used to polish the surface. A small amount on a cloth helped remove any remaining fingerprints and gave the steel a shiny finish.
Stainless Steel Cleaner – She also said that for a long-lasting effect, stainless steel cleaners can be used, especially if the fingerprints are persistent.
