I have purchased a house in Bangalore recently and my relationship manager explained the process of BBMP plan approval. Without proper BBMP building plan approval in Bangalore, you may need to pay a lump sum penalty fee to the municipality in Bangalore. So, my relationship manager asked me to keep the required documents for BBMP plan sanction handy.

What are the documents required for BBMP Bangalore building plan approval?

The documents required for BBMP building plan approval includes:

  • Address Proof

  • ID Proof

  • Betterment Fee paid Receipt

  • Encumbrance certificate for thirteen years

  • Latest Khata Certificate

  • Latest Tax Paid Receipt

  • Possession Certificate

  • Sale Deed

  • Latest Katha Extract

  • Previous Sanction Plan for Upper Floors (in case applicable)

How to get house plan approval from BBMP online?

  • Go to the BBMP official website

http://218.248.45.162:8090/BPAMSClient/login.aspx

  • Enter the information required to submit the application

  • Submit the drawings and documents needed to obtain the house plan approval

  • Pay 5% of the licence fee for scrutiny/ processing charges online

The engineer will come and do an inspection and the drawings and documents will be verified after you submit the application. According to the verification, the authorities will approve or reject the verification. After the approval, the Demand note is going to be issued for the Requisite fee. And this is how you will get the BBMP plan approval of your house.
