Have you misplaced your property or land documents? If so, you’ll definitely need to apply for duplicate copies. But there are a few things which you’ll need to do before submitting the application to get land registration copy. Here is a guide for you to know how to get land document copy online.

How to get land registration copy online?

It is a task to look for misplaced documents and finding them is crucial or else there is a long hassle that follows. My father lost our property documents and I was running from poles to pillars just to know how to get land registry copy online. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get that but I can tell you what is the process that we followed. Here you go!

  • We filed a police complaint and got the FIR copy. In the FIR we had mentioned the documents that were missing and name and other property and owner related information

  • Next, we were asked to get an advertisement published in a national newspaper regarding the same. This is done to have a window in case someone finds them and returns the property documents

  • Now you will have to visit the land registration office of the area and submit an application and fill the prescribed application form to get the copy of land documents. You will have to attach the FIR and copy of newspaper advertisement.

  • The department will also ask for a fee to issue duplicate land documents.

Enter SRO list, Locality, Registration Number, Registration Year, Book number, etc. and find the details on the screen.
