Permanent Account Number, or PAN, is a unique alphanumeric character that is issued by the Indian Income Tax Department in accordance with Section 139 of the Income Tax Act of 1961. It helps to keep track of financial transactions involving taxes for both people and organisations. I have recently got my PAN details by referring to the below steps:
Visit
https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/

Tap on “Verify Your PAN” under the Quick Links section.
Mention the name, PAN number, date of birth, and mobile number.
Tap the Continue button.
Mention the OTP that is sent on a registered mobile number.
Click on Validate.
The next page will display that “PAN is active."
Click the profile details under profile settings.
The details will be displayed on the screen.
