Getting rid of orange mould in your shower is easy. Just mix one part bleach with three parts water and spray it directly on the mouldy areas. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, then scrub the spots with an old toothbrush or scrub brush. The final step is to wash everything thoroughly with warm water, dry the surfaces, and your shower will be clean and mould-free. Here is a more elaborate description of how to get rid of orange mold in shower.
How to Get Rid of Orange Mold in Bathroom?
To get rid of mould in the bathroom, here is what you need to do:
Mix and Spray: Combine one part bleach with three parts water in a spray bottle and spray the solution directly on the orange mould, ensuring it covers the mould area
Scrub Away: Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, then scrub the affected areas thoroughly, especially in grout lines and corners.
Rinse and Dry: Rinse the surface well with warm water to remove the bleach and mould residue.
Finally, dry the surface completely with a cloth to keep the mould from coming back.
This is how you can get rid of the mould in the shower. You can also use vinegar instead of bleach or lemon juice, but I feel bleach is more effective; hence, I suggest it first.

In my attached bathroom a lot of orange mould formed in the shower. It was disgusting at first but then I wanted to get rid of it asap. I came to know that the Orange mould comes from a bacteria called Serratia marcescens. It is orangish or pinkish in colour. Following this, I asked my mom to help me with the step by step process on how to get rid of orange mold in shower. Let me share the steps below.
How to Remove Orange Mold from Shower?
I will share the steps that my mum shared and I followed to get rid of orange mould,
Getting Ready: First I put on protective gear such as gloves, goggles and a mask to minimise contact or exposure with the mould.
Making Cleaning Solution: Then I took 1/4th cup of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap in a cup and made a paste.
Scrubbing the Orange Mould: I picked up a soft bristle brush into the paste and thoroughly scrubbed on the patches around the shower that were visible. This helped make the mould loose and free it. After scrubbing, rinse the patches with a wet towel or use a shower head to flush the mould down the drain.
This was an easy way for me to understand how to get rid of orange mould in shower. The orange mould could have caused a lot of problems for me and my family. I was glad I was able to prevent the orange mould from spreading further.
