A few days ago, I noticed my wall paint was peeling off, similar to that of an orange. I immediately called a painter and asked him how to get rid of orange peel paint on walls. He said he wasn’t understanding what I was talking about and came to visit me. During the visit, he noticed the issue and said it was a minor issue and could be solved pretty quickly.
How to Get Rid of Orange Peel Texture on Walls?
According to the painter, issues such as an incorrect application of paint, humidity while painting and multiple other factors can cause this. However, here are the steps that he had performed to solve the issue.
He started by pouring some pre-mixed compound on a paint tray and mixing water with it. He mixed it until the consistency was like pancake batter.
After that, he started applying the paint, and for that, he used a roller.
Next, he left it to dry for some time. When it was dry enough, he used 220-grit sandpaper to sand the walls.
He cleaned the area with an old cloth to soften the edges.
Finally, applied some primer to the walls before painting them.
And that’s how the painter solved the orange peel texture issue on my walls. I hope you understand how to get rid of orange peel walls.
