How to catch a rat without killing it?
Mouse Trap
The popular option to get rid of rats from the house is to use a mousetrap. You can use mouse trap bait and place a small piece of cheese, dry fruits, or peanuts. The mouse will be trapped once it reaches out for food. You can release the mouse by going to a field or park far away from home.
Bucket and Spoon
Place a spoon on the counter with butter on it and below the spoon place a large bucket. The rats will run to eat the butter and eventually fall on the bucket. I will suggest you take a large bucket as the rats can jump from a small bucket and escape.
Glass and Coin
Take a glass and prop it up with a coin and put some peanuts underneath the glass. The rats will get trapped once they go inside the glass to have the peanuts.
Paper plate and Bucket
An easy and effective way to get rid of rats without killing them is to place a paper plate on the bucket and place some food inside it. The paper plates are light in weight and they will not be able to hold the rats. The rats will fall on the bucket once they sit on the paper plate.
