Termites in furniture or in general are my enemies. They almost freaking ruined my favourite couch which I got made specifically for my living room. I really did put my heart and soul into doing my living room decor. Oh how perfect it was until termites decided to show up. The horror I tell you.
Anyway, I was quick to notice the damage they were doing so I decided to look up the internet and searched how to get rid of termites in furniture. Luckily, I found some good suggestions. I have tried these out so feel free to use them.
I shifted my couch to the balcony for a couple of days just so that it can have a sunbath. I got to know that exposing furniture to sunlight will help in getting rid of termites as they can’t withstand heat and die.
I bought borax powder and dissolved it in water. Then I gently sprayed it all over the wood of my couch and wiped it dry. I did this for 3-4 days.
Someone told me that neem oil can eliminate termites easily so I rubbed it over the wood of the couch.
Once all of these treatments were done, I decided to indulge in deep cleaning of my house to ensure everything was spotlessly clean and no further damage happened.
This was my story on how to kill termites in furniture. I hope you get rid of them too.
