Origin
The bentwood furniture was first fabricated by Michael Thonet in 1849 and from Germany, it spread to the rest of the world. It was one of the first designer-style mass produced furniture and is highly praised now as well for its unique and elegant style.
How to identify bentwood chair?
Every original bentwood chair is bound to have the company name THONET with a solid line carved on it. So just look for it somewhere in the chair and you will see it if the furniture is the original Thonet.
