When it comes to the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and its transaction limits, HDFC Bank, like many other banks, operates under the guidelines set by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). UPI limits are determined based on various factors such as the type of account, customer profile, and the bank's internal policies. Unfortunately, unlike some other banks, HDFC did not provide an explicit feature for customers on how to increase UPI limit in HDFC. The UPI limits were typically determined by the account type, customer profile, and various other factors assessed by the bank.

HDFC UPI Transaction Limits:

HDFC Bank enforces specific limits for UPI transactions, governing both outgoing and incoming payments. For HDFC UPI transactions, the daily limit is capped at Rs. 1 Lakh or a maximum of 10 transactions, encompassing both Person-to-Person (P2P) and Person-to-Merchant (P2M) transactions. These limits operate on a 24-hour cycle.

HDFC UPI Transaction Charges:

HDFC Bank extends the convenience of UPI transactions without imposing any additional charges. This service is available round the clock, 365 days a year, even on national and bank holidays.

How to Register for HDFC UPI:

The process for HDFC UPI registration is straightforward and designed for easy fund transfers. Before you can log in to HDFC UPI, it's essential to complete the HDFC UPI registration. Follow the steps outlined below to register for HDFC UPI:

Step 1: Begin by downloading the HDFC Mobile Banking App, available on Google Play Store or Apple Store, to your mobile device.

Step 2: Log in to the app using your Customer ID and Password.

Step 3: Access the menu by clicking on "Menu," then navigate to "Pay" and select "UPI Payment." Ensure you are using your registered mobile number for this step.

Step 4: Enter your desired HDFC UPI ID or Virtual Payment Address (VPA).

Step 5: You will be prompted to add your bank account details, including your ATM/Debit Card information and its expiry date.

Step 6: Once your VPA is created, the final step involves setting up a 6-digit HDFC UPI PIN or mPIN to complete your registration.
