Recently we constructed our first floor and after much request, my father did build a bow window for the balcony. It is really hard to get it done since it requires a lot of effort and time as well. But the most problematic part was the installation of such a window. We did not know anyone who knew

Steps to install the bow window

I would suggest you opt for some experts unless you are good at installing such things. Here are the steps which the experts followed to get it installed:

They constructed a support wall under the ceiling joints at first
Used a pry bar to remove the brick mould that surrounded the window outside
Set the window in place
Used pieces of woods to support the window
Shimmed the window and levelled it
Placed the window with support cables
Levelled the footboard by turning the adjustment nut

Trim the window or the exterior and interior parts as per needed

How long did it take to get it installed?

It took about 8 to 10 hours to complete the task and I must say that it wasn't like they were resting a lot in between.
